I will "show the flag" that week end. Bound to see some of our members with common interests. I have the 15th Annual "Good Guys" meet here in fort Worth and the OIBF (Big Time Bluegrass) in Oklahoma. I'm going to hit 'em both.
Sounds like a great idea - though I imagine many Canadians will be busy with family obligations due to it being Thanksgiving weekend up here...
I for one would love to participate in this - showing off our Airstream spirit is always fun, but we'll be doing the various dinners and visiting with family members who have come in from out of town over the course of the weekend...
Am I the only one??
At any rate, hope everyone has a great time - looking forward to seeing some pictures.
Yep, it appears that this weekend will be a good one to get the old girl out for one last try before packing it up for the winter. Should be fun. Hope to see at least some of you out on the road in BC/WA.

We are at Canyon Point Campground in AZ.Will be here till the 8th of Oct.Have seen NO other Airstream around since the 4CU rally at Meteor Crater AZ on Labor Day.We will be on road home to Mesa on the 8th.So hope to see you out and about that weekend.
My local WBCCI unit in NC is having a buddy rally this weekend. It co-incides with the Brushy Mountain Apple Festival in North Wilkesboro. We are expecting a great turnout. Every site in the corps of engineers park where we are staying that can be, has been reserved. The local forecast at this moment, expects great fall camping weather. I'll be using my 'stream!!!

We are also heading for a Corps campground but the ReserveAmerica site has all of them off line for the next few weeks! I hope we can get a good site since we will be arriving after dark on Friday...

We are going to SHOW our Airsteram this weekend...taking a long weekend to go down to Bisbee, Arizona, and old copper mining town near the Arizona/Mexico border... and stay at The Shady Dell RV Park... It's a small RV park that also has several vintage trailers, including a 1947 21' Airstream... You can rent them to stay in like motel rooms...they have them decorated to the period, complete with black & white TVs showing the Long Long Trailer and ontehr oldk films... It's kind of a fun funky place with an old diner that still serves lunches... We've been there before when we rented a motor home and took a trip there to try it out as we first started exploring the wacky world of RVing... Their website is Welcome to The Shady Dell in Bisbee, Arizona
We have been trying to get hold of them all day to make our reservations...hope they get back to us soon, as it's coming quick!
Hope to see some other Airsteams around this weekend!
Got our reservations made and are heading out in the morning! Hope to see some other Airstreams on the road... I learned on the phone that there is a new owner of The Shady Dell...sounds like a nice fellow...says he intends to expand and add some more vintage trailers and so on...it will be interesting to see what's changed since our first visit in Sept 2004...our VERY FIRST RV outing in a rented Class C SOB Motor Home...from then it's just history...seems like a lifetime ago!
This is great! We're in the Maple Grove KOA and there are two more Excellas here! Of course, neither of them had heard about the October 5th Airstream America. I told them about the forum. It's good to have them here!
