My heart goes out to you. I think your idea of forming a caravan is a wonderful tribute. If you were on the west coast, I would gladly join you. Take care and mend.
My heartfelt wishes for you and your family to have the strength get through this tough time. Lean on those who care about you for the support they can give you.

I am in Maryland, but the first place I will be going to is Big Sur, CA. Sherri and I met in Monterey, and Big Sur was one of her favorite places to be...so much so she ran the Marathon there in 96. From there, I will be going to the Grand Canyon, AZ, then Pike's Peak, CO and finally Wahpeton, ND, where Sherri's grandmother is buried, and then home. You would be a welcomed addition to the trip.
You have my deepest sympathy. It is wonderful that you are honoring her memory by moving ahead and sharing her life with us, I hope to share in your trip, too.
The idea actually came to me, during the two hours of "sleep" I got yesterday. I had this great dream, and all I could see on the highway was a huge caravan of A/S's, stretching to the horizon.....it jolted me awake. So now I'm back to being Mr. Insomnia. This first happened, when I returned from my first tour in Kosovo (I did three there) with 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne)....Can you say PTSD? I couldn't sleep for a month, but that's another story to be shared over a few cold ones.
Frederic,
God speed to you and your family. You don't have to know somebody to understand his or her pain and we all know how that pain is indescribable. Our thoughts are with you.
Frederic
Your caravan idea is a lovely tribute and will give you and the family a chance to creatively express your love for Sherri. Hoping that you find comfort and support all around you. Blessings.

Frederic,
If you would be coming near Michigan we would be honored to take part in your caravan for a little while.
We've never been to Michigan, but it has been on our "to do" list. I might just start out going your way, on the way to North Dakota, then swing up to the Northwest and down the coast, to Big Sur. That sounds like a plan. Thank you for the kind words.
