Shame on Damon

Anyone catch the last episode of Lethal Weapon where Damon Wayan's character called Martin's Airstream a "Metal echo chamber"? Wish my Airstream could be 20 x 40 feet inside, like the ones in Hollywood. Funny show.

I watch this every week and I swear the inside has grown by 100% since the first episode. Even then it was huge inside but it was only 12 feet wide.

My 2 Airstreams were in a shot in the movie Long Dumb Road. Interior shots were done inside of a Spartan Imperial Mansion. There is a bigger Spartan called an Executive Mansion. Maybe that is what they used.

Whatever they're using it has loads more elbow room than my old Caravel.

Like the Airstream in Grimm Sound stage magic. No real trailer interior necessary.

Hollywood majick.
I'm in the film business and my job is to govern these things (production designer).
Don't watch that show, so couldn't say for sure, but if it's a reoccurring set, the interior is most likely built of modular components. If you turn the camera around, you'll likely see a grip sitting on an apple box and the on set dresser perusing the craft service table. My trailers have been used on tv shows and commercials, my avion has almost paid for itself. It's been a somewhat reoccurring domicile for a character on a current AMC show, but they've shot it practically on the inside...

If anyone is approached to rent their trailer for a film shoot, you are welcome to pm me for guidence. It can be very lucrative but also a total disaster...

Fun to see these old trailers as character enhancements in film.

Was especially noticing this in Ash vs. Evil Dead. That Airstream is like a tardis! And then again in Breaking Bad. The cooking RV is cavernous inside! ;-)
