seems like airstream.com has changed

I was looking for the old floor plans and such that used to be on the website and now THEY are not there..

anyone know why or where they are now.

I have grown to hate website upgrades as they alway WRECK what is good with something that in NOT good.

You are right - I just checked out the new site. I do think the site itself has improved and it is easier to look and compare the new models, but all the vintage information seems to have been taken down (unless it's buried somewhere I can't see…)

I wrote an email through their site requesting it to be put back up, perhaps we all should do so and flood them with emails to request the vintage information to be put back on their website.

When I looked at Airstream.com and saw the "upgrades", I sent them an email also suggesting that there is a large community that would like to use their website more often, if those old documents are available.

Sad - just checked it out.
Was my go to site for checking out vintage airstreams, especially when looking at one to buy or ideas on remodeling (as I am starting to do on a '68.
If we could have seen this coming - would have not been hard to download and set this up within Airstream Forums. Airstream.com seems to be a commercial website devoted to new dealership Airstreams and I guess they don't care about the oldies.

I sent one as well, and pointed out that I used the site extensively when recently purchasing my trailer. I also pointed out that while I did not purchase a new trailer, my previous owner may have or will. The sale of an older trailer would, it seems, often open up a buyer for a new trailer. I think AS, Inc. has been short sighted if, in fact, all that old information is now gone. Kinda disrespects Wally's tenets and intentions, I believe.

Hopefully they'll be reintroducing that trove of data in a logical place on the new website, or offering it to the VAC for us to host.

If you try to go to the old page, which was /service/specifications/ it forwards to just /specifications/ which would be fine, except that the page is displays is "Hollywood Connections" with a photo of Matthew McConaughey leaning on his trailer. Maybe they just have some things in the wrong folders and will eventually fix it!

Current floorplans are still available. You have to go Travel Trailers, then Choose Your Own. When you get to Step 6, you'll see current floor plans. But of course, you only see floor plans based on your previous 5 answers.

I agree - I like the website the way it was.

What about the manuals? Are they still there?

Oops, I spoke too soon. You can go directly to the current floor plans by selecting a trailer or Touring Coach, then scrolling down and clicking on the Full Specifications button.

I liked it the way it was before.

They also had a number of maintenance/service videos I think (AV, ZipDee, etc) Seem to be missing as well.

The maintenance videos are under the Service menu, select Customer Support, then scroll down.

TinTin, Are those the videos you are referring to?

Seems strange Airstream would update it's website without one mention of the changes to the 2015 models.

This is especially odd considering all the new models are scheduled to be introduced on Thursday.

Perhaps the website changes are related to the new model introductions.

As a webDeveloper , it's common practice to '301' Or redirect an old page to the new page so that users don't get a404' not found' error. Bad practice not To do so.

Again i am NOT talking about current floor plans. I am talking about older unit floor plans, old invoices, old specification etc.

NOT CURRENT floorplans but the older stuff,,, say from 1996.

Where are those files. ????

All the old content is gone. You can access a sitemap here: Site Map, Airstream Website | Airstream

Might be worth it to voice one's displeasure on the Airstream Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/airstream

I always find that complaining in public tends to get more of a reaction than a private email.
