Yeah. For example, I'd be interested to know the current conversion rate of a Quatloo.

At last check, it was 1000 Quatloo to one gold pressed latnum.

Oh, and BTW, you do realize that the coriolis force is really an apparent force. It is more of an effect caused by the earth turning under whatever is being transported through the air. However, without it, hurricanes would not form.

Ah, that's right... I would have known that had my currency conversion quick reference not recently slipped out of my Ferengi Rules of Acquisition handbook.

Yes, indeed, and it's not unlike the Arrakeen variety, whose storms can reach maximum sustained winds of up to 435 mph, and is upon what my ID was originally based.

Thumbs up

Vic -- I don't know why I ever got rid of my 1970's dome house book. Your post reminded me of a quote in there about domes being better for the world because the square corners of standard houses cause more friction with the air and slow down the earth's rotation. I just knew there was something more to having an Airstream than being a millionaire!

Looking at bredlo's pictures from a year ago I got close to the screen -- the cowboy hat still smells like milk of magnesia and talcum powder!

Lost in space

Didn't Scotty just recently have his remains sent into space? I heard that on the radio...his ashes I think.

Jimmy Doohan died on July 20, 2005. He was cremated and his ashes were sent into space by Space Services, Inc.

The phrase "beam me up, Scotty" was never uttered on the show.

He and DeForrest Kelly are sorely missed.

Jimmy was missing the middle finger on his right hand. That's bad if you need to get someone's attention in a hurry. It was shot off during the Normandy invasion.

He also had a Doctorate in Engineering (Honorary).
