Screen Door Guard Airstream Company

When I first saw this on the 75th anniversary collector edition (I also like to call it the 75th anniversary WAY TO EXPENSIVE edition) I thought I would really like one. Well, at the time my dealer, Southwest Coaches, said they didnt' have a part number.
Recently, while doing an ebay search for "airstream", I came across this.
I bid on the previous listing for $161.00 (I know, I know). The bidding ended at about 6:00AM PST today, so I wasn't able to see that I was outbid by almost another $100.
(not so much "able", just not willing)

I called AS this morning and the lady said they would only be available on ebay or if you own Airstream One (aka, 75th annviersary) I told her I think that is really stupid. They should make it available to anyone who wants to buy it, not just people willing to pay way more than it's worth (aka, me)

I've place another bid on this one up to $200. Jeeze, my stomach becomes a not just typing that. I'm pretty sure I'll loose it as I really don't feel comfortable going any higher.

Anyhow, if anyone knows any other way to get one, please let me know or I will end up paying way to much money for it, and who knows how my wife will react. It won't be pretty.

NEVERMIND ALL. Found one at David Winicks site. $112.00 with shipping. I can deal with that.
Just ordered it.

Alan, Do you realize that the one on David Winicks' site is not the same one as on ebay? It only says The Airstream Co. The one on ebay was the original Winick design and says The Airstream Company on the top line and then Jackson Center, Ohio on the second line. Also when I used your "this" link the auction I saw says starting bid is $50.00. + shipping! I would watch it as it may go for less than the 98.00 + shipping that I paid for mine from the company store. Happy Trails, Ed

I think the auction that ended at $255! had a $89 buy it now option when it started. A new one is listed now, but without the buy it now option.

Yeah, I did notice that. Not that big of a deal to me, well not a $150 difference worth of a deal.

Ebay listing... Screen door guard

It is still at a starting bid of $50.00 (I just checked it) and the Auction has more than 4 days left until it closes so who knows what the final price will be. Ed

No wonder.....

No wonder Airstream doesn't sell them in their online store anymore. They found a way to make some real money.... I read a thread here about them and how people were buying them right up.... I really would like to have one, but I can't put $150 - $250 into one right now. Good Luck !!

Odd that the factory would do this, let alone have an eBay account....then again, the only constant is change....

I got mine from David before last season, one of the prototypes for something like $75 plus shipping........we live in inflationary times!

"Home Sweet Home" door-guards

Hi Everyone

Going to have "Home Sweet Home" door-guards back in stock very soon. [next couple of weeks] If you want one, I'd recommend emailing and putting your name on the waiting list.

Happy Spring!
