Seem like one might not have to join any groups to protest Facebook's new policy:

The complaints helped

This was posted on Facebook this morning...

Terms of Use Update

Over the past few days, we have received a lot of feedback about the new terms we posted two weeks ago. Because of this response, we have decided to return to our previous Terms of Use while we resolve the issues that people have raised. For more information, visit the Facebook Blog.

If you want to share your thoughts on what should be in the new terms, check out our group Facebook Bill of Rights and Responsibilities.

I have nothing to hide. I'm self employed, I have dogs and other means of protection for the pervs and crooks and good neighbors watching out as well.

I'm glad I unfacebooked awhile ago. I never did get it. Maybe it's my age or resistance to change but why did I need to belong to something just to communicate with friends? And then I had all these invite and requests to be friends from people I never heard of and felt bad rejecting them. Life is simpler without Facebook.

Add to the happy "users"---process servers. What a great tool!

I use a made up name and a yahoo email account and I still get offers from folks that obviously cannot "know" me but try to tell me we went to high school together.

It appears that if you send your picture off into the wild blue yonder, you don't have any control over where it ends up. So if you're standing on a bar stool swinging your shirt and someone takes your picture, it might come back to haunt you.
