Cool Right side, middle of the road, or left of center?

Demographic question about the Airstreaming community ... would you say you are a right wing kook, a Ross Perot independent, a Rush Limbaugh conservative, a George Bush conservative, a John McCain moderate, a Zell Miller moderate, a Bill Clinton liberal, a Ted Kennedy liberal, a Ralph Nader independent, a left wing kook, or something else?

No judgements here, only demographic curiosity ...

I will go first and claim to proudly be a Rush Limbaugh conservative.

Oh...I think this thread is a bad idea. It is something people feel VERY strongly about and discussions can get out of hand really fast.

We all try to keep the forum a pleasant and friendly place, but this thing could backfire. Do you think it will really add to the information database or be a fun topic of conversation for the community?

Please consider removing this thread.

Thanks

I thought that was the same as a right wing kook?

Several years ago I took one of those Political Preference tests ... turned out I was one notch to the left of Colin Powell.

I have no idea what that means ... except that I may be a moderate kook.

Yes, I do think it will add to the information database and also be a fun topic of conversation. Please note that I am not asking for any discussion here, only a pleasant statement of your preference. I do not really see how this will cause any out of hand discussions. I do think it will provide a very interesting view of the diversity that will surely be found.

Yahhhh!

Put me in the same group with Edie.

And the same goes for religion.

And sexual preference.

Some topics don't need to be here.

I really didn't mean for this to be a "topic". I do think a simple statement of preference, with minimal or no discussion, to show the diversity of this community would be great to see. As I said in the first post, no judgements here!

Ever notice that in the animal kingdom most diversity takes place either in the zoo or in the animals' stomachs.

I rarely argue with mother nature!

Oh and by the way no two snowflakes alone have a snowball's chance in Hell of amounting to anything.

Don't know what this has to do with aluminium ...

But since you asked about political leanings - here is an in depth explanation of my position:

Much better position than having the wrong one!
Altho in these times having no position aint too shiny either! IMHO

Now just to address what any of this has to do with aluminum;
There is one large group of people in this country (most who vote the same way) who would have it that no tow vehicle capable of pulling my trailer was allowed on our highways. And that is just the tip of the iceberg that they and their comrades want to shove up my @$$.
You apparently aren't interested in what party most of those people happen to adore. So I won't bore you with that fact.

I consider all their voting habits and their political stances fool's play. However I can love the fool and hate the foolishness.
I don't care how a member votes if they can truthfully answer my calls for help in repairing my Airstream. And I stand ready to help any fellow traveler regardless of politics.

So what is the "position"? the opposite of Diversity being Uniformity?

I like diversity - assortment, variety, array, hodgpodge, mixed bag, miscellany, multiplicity, mishmash all make for the perfect "Zoo" Recipie.

Politics and Religion...

The fastest way to get into an all-out, flame-throwing, mud-slinging tournament is to start discussing Politics and religion.

Well ... I see we got through the night without getting into a "flame-throwing, mud-slinging tournament". Many thanks to all who participated.

To me, this is what living in America is all about. I feel the freedom to stand up for what I believe while granting you the freedom to stand up for what you believe. I truly enjoy our great ethnic diversity also, especially when it comes to dining out!

Thanks again for sharing your views.
