Revised Delivery Date

I'll be picking up my NEW 2006 FB SE from Safford on Thursday March 30. They told me they had the financial side ready to go, so I assumed they would have it cleaned, set up and ready to go, but today they asked me if they could have an extra week to make sure it was all tested out.

Anticipation... is making me wait..... is keeping me waiting.....

I'd rather have it RIGHT than right now.

Shall I call her "Gilda"?

Now thats a REALLY COOL floor plan. It will be great for those campgrounds that require you to back into the view...

I'm jealous!

Hello -

We took delivery on a brand new 28' International Last March and I understand your feelings of anticipation completely!

Just wait until you get it home and just SIT IN IT!!!

FYI - if you have a video camera, take it with you when you pick up your new addition so that you can video tape the walk through from the dealer. Make sure to get close ups of thinks like the water heater bypass settings, furnace, refrigerator and those dupm valves. The whole walk through should take a couple of hours if they are thorough and the tape will help when you get home and can't remember half of what they told you!

Best of luck!

Great advice.

Also be sure that ALL of the appliances, lights, doors, locks, electronics, awnings work and have them show you HOW it works. Go over every square inch of the cabinets, surfaces, seams, upholstery, etc. and have them note any deficiencies/damages. If you don't see it now, there is a big chance that it will be 'your problem' in the future.

After that......ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You might ask your dealer if you can stay in the trailer overnight on his lot before taking it home. We did that in ours and were able to really check out the oven, furnace, A/C, water pump and everything else. Got up early enought to make sweet rolls in the oven and had them available for the Dealer's staff to have with their morning coffee. That checked out the oven and got a couple of brownie points with the dealer.
A couple of small things that we found wrong were fixed before we took it home.

It sounds like a nice way of saying "we don't have enough time to dealer prep this until next week' Ask them for their Test Spec, what do they check, get a list. I like the sleep in it idea however they may throw you an insurance knuckleball excuse...
