Well, I think it's cool...

Absolutely not my taste, but very cool and well done. Just because the seller isn't a member of the Forums doesn't mean they can't do something unique and creative, so why snipe? Those enamel ware cowboy dishes are really cool and I think the whole thing is worth what they're asking.

Okay, right. I must not have had my magnifiers on but that's a cheap Mexican knock-off from a standard bull. Kinda reminds me of Crocodile Dundee in NYC telling the punks, "Now this is a knife." Now this is a Texas Longhorn -- scroll to the bottom of the page.

I think it is necessary to respect an eBay seller as a potential member here. That being said, this had better be an extremely sound Airstream for the asking price. The seller hasn't made any declarations in that regard and leak integrity could be an issue. The decor job took some thinking through, is kinda cool, but isn't singularly unique or unattainable by others. It doesn't add $20,000 all by itself -- an opinion that should be measured against success of the sale. So stay tuned.

The second one has the same exterior finish, with no mention of the "special acid-washed" look.

Dang, now I want a couple pet longhorns. Cool!

The second trailer is more to my liking. Nice interior. Someone definitly has a decorator's touch.

Yea, but it isn't from Texas! The license plate is a Boise (Ada county), Idaho license plate.

Ponder this

After seeing the initial post on this, I went to the ebay page, emailed the seller if he was really selling it for $25,000 and if he had any offers on it yet (He did list his phone number on the page, but I didn't want to distub him).

Here was his response which has been censored for the viewing public.
"Don't be mad that you still play nintendo little boy. I have sold several trailers for 20k vintage one too. I have had several offers on the trailer one guy even wants to trade a 45k custom chopper for it. When you have money and you want something you go for it thats life in the fast lane you don't go to the bank and get a loan and this and that. People here in Texas have money, I have friends that get $25k a month royalty checks from oil and gas wells on there ranch, thats not **** to people down here. Go play your f***ing wii you little kid!"

That kind of response is not what I would expect from a person selling an Airstream. I don't care who the guy thinks he is, but that isn't an appropriate way to speak with anyone. It was written with poor puntuation and grammar. His rudeness leads me to believe it is a fake. Besides, if someone had offered a $45,000 chopper, or has a friend with all this money I am sure it would have sold already, and off ebay.

Wow! That kind of response makes me highly suspicious as well. The Boise plate doesn't mean much, as I could understand someone buying a trailer to fix up and never registering it in their name (a little sketchy, but folks do it all the time). However anyone who was proud of thier work and planned to continue selling restored trailers certainly wouldn't react like that to a simple question. Gotta wonder about that.

Just Remember

Just remember that not everyone from Texas (if he's actually from here) is like that!

I agree that the trailer is somewhat tacky and definitely think those 'horns' are not longhorn material. I guess if the fellow finds someone willing to trade big dollary motorcycles then that person isn't too smart either

The other day I found this on ebay eBay Motors: Airstream Collectible Pewter Key Chain *Brand New* (item 220100065627 end time Apr-09-07 08:25:51 PDT)

I've seen these go for over $10 yet you can buy them from Airstream.com for $6.94. I guess it just means buyer beware!

Remember, don't argue with an idiot, they will take you to there level and bystanders will have a hard time telling who is who.

Absolutely not. I went to Texas to marry my wife - 27 years ago. She's a jewel.
This "Texas" trailer on the other hand...
