You heard it here first! One of my Flamingo suppliers has gotten hold of some of the originals:

We are happy to notify you that we now have a limited supply of original "Don Featherstone" signature pink plastic lawn flamingos available for sale. These were produced by Union Products before they went out of business. Because of the short supply, we are making them available to our flamingo list subscribers first and are selling them on a first come, first served basis.

These flamingos come in pairs (one neck up and one neck down) and do NOT come in the original pair display box. We pack them in a plain brown cardboard box. Prices are as follows:

1 pair - $49.99 plus $8.00 shipping/handling = $57.99
2 pairs - $99.98 plus $10.00 shipping/handling = $109.98
4 pairs - $199.96 plus $12.00 shipping/handling = $211.96

We also still have replacement flamingo legs for the "Don Featherstone" flamingos available in case you need them.

I see the combination a lot , i even got myself a pair ,

where did it originate from ?

Yes, when Union Products went under, the bank shut the doors etc. Many of the larger distributors of the Union Products Flamingo would buy in bulk. My last shipment was that way. The only time the originals came in the printed box was when you were purchasing pairs. So for now when they do surface they would most likely be coming out of a bulk shipment very much like mine. Usually mine would come packed 8 pairs to a master carton wraped in plastic. If you have an original pair with the box hang onto the box. Right now now one has stepped forward and purchased the molds so no one knows right now when and if we will see the originals back into production.
