Here are the details, well actually photos of the box, for the lights I installed as additional reverse lighting on each corner of the rear bumper. They are made in the Phoenix area. A speciality auto parts store can be the source. Discounted price was about $320 per pair plus tax.

Yeah, I was hoping for a cool Bahamian name for us white non-natives... but Conky Joe is what we're called.
-Red, sticking with what works...

Hey, I picked up my new Chevy truck today.
It's red, I mean RED.
It's light and compact. My first 1/2 ton in many years.
It's got more gadgets than I can count.
It rides and handles like a dream. Quiet, too.
It's got the Corvette engine and an 8 spd tranny.
It runs like a scalded cat! I think I like it!!!

There's another thread going - can't recall what it's called - with a question from the OP about that "new Chevy half-ton with the Max tow" and what it can really pull - of course, it's brought out all the folks that say "...a half-ton can't do [that]" and "...you shouldn't do [this] with a half-ton..." You know...
A friend has the '13 "heavy half ton" with the Allison trans and loves it. Your new one sounds like it's a great truck - a 2015 I'm guessing - can't wait to hear your report!

Yeah, if it's the thread I'm thinking of, I'm on it, also. There's some misinformation going on there.
I don't have my AS out yet, and I always like to put 500 miles or so on a new truck before pulling with it, so it will be a little while before I know how it pulls, but I bet $60,000 on the belief that it will do just fine.

When the Airstream is attached, the performance will be that of a scared turtle. What gets the show moving is torque at low engine speeds.
We don't get whip lash from acceleration (the Classic by itself free standing weighs about 9,260 pounds without food but all the rest of the stuff aboard) and the truck scales around 9,880 when connected. We are around 18,000 pounds combined weight.

Started the remodel of our front bedroom today. Got almost all the sections cut and ready to assemble. Will have to start an actual thread when done.
For those curious, going from a queen to a full/desk combo.
Going to be a busy next couple of days with this remodel, plus we are having the front living area completely reupholstered.

Bold - looks good! Do you have a drawing of what the full/desk combo will look like? Is that something AS offers elsewhere or your own design?

Oh yeah, I don't have any dilusions of drag racing with AS in tow. I do find it interesting, tho, how much weight Airstreams seem to have gained in just a few short years.
My '02 31' Classic has a GVWR of 8,000 lbs.
As I said in another thread, I expect trailer towing to be about 10% of the use of this truck. As long as it tows acceptably, the daily driving part is the most important.
Just running around, I'm averaging 20 mpg with it. Coming from a truck that averaged 12 or 13 mpg, that's huge. The downside is, it wants premium gas, which is more expensive than reguular.

I have very crude sketches and notes. It's mostly custom. Picture a twin with a desk on the other side, but the desk does not go to the front. And instead of a nightstand between a sitting nook. Although nook is a relative term here. We'll probably have baby #2 in her bassinet sleeping there, use it as a changing station during the day.
I promise a thread soon.

Go for PDO?
I’m trying to figure out an old NASA acronym. It actually comes from the Def Leppard song “Rocket”, It’s in the very beginning of the song but online lyrics don’t include it. I’m pretty sure it’s from the Apollo 11 mission with the Eagle lunar module landing.
As best as I can understand it, they are saying:
"Eagle, Houston, we read you. You are go for PDO…" then the song starts.
So what is PDO? I think the P may stand for Payload/Package/Powered and the D possibly Deployment/Descent
I found PDI means "Powered Descent Initiation", so I got that goin' for me.
I know, I know, I’m retired, so what else have I got do?

Of course there are multiple possibilities. NASA tends to 'overload' acronyms.
Keep in mind there are only 17,576 possible TLAs. And I think they used all of them at some point.
(Three Letter Acronyms) 😄

There really aren't many TLAs. Acronyms are letters used to make a "word" that references what the letters stand for. UFO are the initials for unidentified flying object. But LASER is light amplification by the stimulated emission of radiation. So UFO is not a word but laser is.
I know, TMI, but like I said, I'm retired.
I vaguely remember the "PDO" reference but I can't find any reference to it anywhere. I did find a NASA glossary of terms and the transcript from the Apollo moon landing, but no PDO The song makes it sound kind of cool, though... you are go for PDO. Wonder if it's a reference to power (cool) or just time to jettison something.

Record state rainfall in 217 of 254 counties. The rivers are in flood all along the Gulf Coast as much as 100-miles inland. And the banana and orange trees outside my front door are testimony to too much rain as are the tree frogs. Still have trailer tilted rearward to shed water fast.
