Shades of George Orwell's "Animal Farm." All animals are created equal, but some are more equal than others. Women are definitely more equal than men. True equality doesn't allow for chivalry to the fair gender, only common courtesy to both genders. And yet women expect men to treat them as equals AND be chivalrous toward them. If anyone has ever figured out that trick, please let me know!

I just finished reading 1984 for the first time. Quite a depressing book. Guess I'll have to read Animal Farm next.

My other random thought is the fact that I am dyslexic and I rearranged the letters on Panama on my last reply!!

Trying to grasp what this thread is all about, i did my research.... and, if I lived in a crossroad, I can fully understand, this is what comes out of the mind when unencumbered by the smog of city life.....
Now, back on topic.... what to do during Downton Abby, or whatever.....watch old episodes of the Equalizer with Edward Woodward (RIP) and his inimitable style....taking on the bad guys so very well...
