Already have. It's a question of perspective, mainly. It's not a question of what the trailer is capable of doing behind the right tow vehicle. That's what has a few in knots.

If a person doesn't go over 50, and slower on the hills, your combination with your older Dodge Cummins, maybe... Nothing made today will regularly get 20 Mpg towing a trailer like yours.

I tow at the speed limits and get about nine MPG, but I have no guilt about this. Not even a little...

Well, let's chime in on this . . .
I've got a late model Mercedes Diesel, with the fancy BlueTec to improve mileage, and while it does easily get 32 mpg at 70 mph on cruise, it only averages 18 mpg pulling my 19 footer - so, am I selfish? Don't think so. Just a reality check. (BTW - I have seen well over 20 mpg going downhill so there's that!)

Clarification;

I get about 11 mpg at 60 mph, and about 9 mpg at AZ, TX, and NM speed limits...

No guilt...

If I thought that CO2 was a bad thing, (I don't), I would point out that my "old" truck and trailers production "carbon footprint" amortized over many years is quite low, reducing my contribution greatly.

It takes a lot of electricity to make aluminum... #JustSayin.

I like a beer with a bit of body. Corona is my "light" flavored, sit on the beach beer, Yeungling Black and Tan are my standard go to beer...which works out well, because my son in law says he doesn't like to "chew his beer", which leaves all the Black and Tans for me, while he drinks a girly lime flavored light something or anotherweiser... Went to a pub in Gainesville called Stubbies and Steins and tried a Pensacola IPA... Good lord what a strong flavor. Good stuff, had to sip it though.

And, congrats on the wedding...

-Red, talking beer...

Saw 13 to 14 mpg on the flats towing a new empty 23D behind the Mercedes E320 CDI at 65 or lower depending on speed limit signs.

Had a BBQ chicken pizza for supper tonight. Sounds weird. Tastes surprisingly good. Fig Newtons and Scotch for dessert.

Been that kind of WEEK. Y'all have a great weekend.

I used to make the common sense insults, until I realized that common sense is only common to what you know. What's common in America, might not be common sense in say Germany.

It might be common sense to never go anywhere in Seattle without an umbrella, but to someone else, that's not common sense.

Although, there are a lot of things, that you would hope would be universal sense. But sadly, they are not.
