Hey, Floridians, is it hot down there yet?

I think we finally have Spring up here. It's been in the '60s and low '70s here for a week or more. Happy Days are here again. (Well, if you don't count the wind and tornados).

Spring time in the Midwest, where you can fly a kite, and some days you can even fly a house.

And, sometimes your weird four wheel thingy gets stolen by Captain Hank, and you don't see it for an hour, which is bad, because your cooler full of beer and Jim Beam is on said four wheel thingy, then you're forced to bum a beer off of Noggin, but that's cool, because she drank like half the beer in your cooler the night before, at the chili pot luck...

But that's how it rolls at Canopener, I guess...

And, yes, it's hot down here already.

-Red, patiently waiting on January...

WOW, that's really cool. (the 4 wheel thingy, I mean.) Does it fold up for transport?

(The lazy mechanic side of me is already thinking of ways to motorize one.)

Random Thoughts

It doesn't fold up. I had to take the front end off to get it in the new truck... It was designed to fit in my old long bed truck. I didn't think of that when I replaced the truck. I'll do a work-around on that issue though. Motorizing it would be simple. They make an electric motor bicycle hub. Put one on each rear wheel, and away you go...

Is this a one off thing, or is it commercially available?

Red that is the cutest low rider I have ever seen... It just needs a tiki cup for the scotch in the cooler.

Terry, it's a one of a kind... If you could see the welds, you'd know. I'm not a good welder. Get a couple old BMX bikes cheap, chop them up, buy a bunch of EMT tubing, a small mig welder, and about $600 worth of stuff from Amazon, and it practically builds itself. Then throw some parts off of a '69 Triumph on it, and viola, you've got a buggy that disappears at rallies....

-Red, riding in style...

WOW, I've never seen anything quite like it. I think it's really cool. It's kind of like a pedal driven sports car.

When I was a kid in England, they had 4 wheel bicycles that were quite popular. They were like 2 bicycles built side by side. They didn't have bucket seats, forward pedals, or a sterring wheel, tho.

Alas, my knees won't let me pedal anymore. Hence the comment about motorizing something.
