Bought a My Pillow mattress topper for the awful AS mattress - not bad, not perfect but not bad.

Pillow top mattress

Yup, makes mine almost tolerable. I use a four inch feather bed on top of the AS mattress. Am tempted to do some "surgery" and actually place a high quality air filled matters into the bottom of the AS mattress, thus having my own "Select Number" at minimal cost.

Not real sure, Red, but I think we may have been insulted. You have to admit, she did it nicely, tho.

Red and Terry, scratching their heads.

Oh, I don't know... I guess I come across as an old fart on here. I had three different people at Canopener say they expected me to be a little gray haired man (right Paddledipper?) and I thought to myself, "Self, do you come across as a little gray haired man in your posts?" While admittedly a man, I am neither little nor gray haired. I was going to update my slang, try to get out of the seventies with it... But even when I do, I still come up ten years short. So, I'll take Old Fart and wear it as a badge of honor.

It's funny, most people see me, and make a judgement on how I look, and then say that I'm nothing like I look after they get to know me. One preacher I met told me the book don't match the cover in my case... Long story there, but I was assisting a mission team from his church, and they thought I was a bum trying to pick up tips. This forum is the first time I've ever got to know people before I met them, and I guess here you read the book before you see the cover.

-Red, still scratching my head... Might be bugs in my case.

I think I figured it out Red. There is a level of comfort and well worn confidence and ease with life emanating from you and your posts. Such that is typically found in someone older who's lived long enough and through enough to know what matters and what doesn't. Knows smiles and laughs are better than pissing contests and chest beating. You are simply an old soul....

This will all be interesting to meet some of the AirForums folks at rallies in the next year or so. Is there an AirForums get together in Farmington? Or is this on another thread?

One more "random thought" is about the definition of "old fart". If taken literally this probably covers a lot of AS owners, LOL

Or is this another "guys only club"?

Oh no, the old farts club is strictly gender-neutral and open to all.

Dear Msmoto,
Sometimes, but last night, according to some, I was busy. Jim

Thanks Joy! I'll take "old soul"... I'm growing into it anyways. It was awesome getting to meet you and your family at Canopener. Loved what you did with the paint in your trailer. Makes me less nervous about the day that I'll paint mine.

MsMoto, welcome to the club! I think we need to elect some officers, and start collecting dues...

-Red, running for treasurer...
