Wash those cloth bags now and then, they'll be nice and clean. 😃

Only saw that weather mix twice in my life and both times preceded major blizzards. I hope you're somewhere warm and safe.

Retirement is that time in your life when you're not really sure if you have more time on your hands or if you're supposed to be someplace.

My grandfather always said retirement is rough, since you never get a day off any more.

Science fiction author Robert Heinlein once said, "The true measure of success is being given the opportunity to work long, hard hours at something you really enjoy."

Now that I'm retired, I plan to work long, hard hours at staying retired.

Yep, if you don't find some enjoyment in what you are doing, you are doing the wrong things.

RAH knew what he was talking about.

He also said, "specialization is for ants, people have to be versatile..."

I routinely read the obituaries because I find other peoples' lives interesting.

Today's paper had six pages of obits. I once asked a funeral director if there was a time of year or season with a higher mortality rate. He said January and February were his businest months. Some of it had to do with the cold and flu season, but many "hold on" until after the holidays before letting go. One of the obits made mention of just that; their beloved grandfather was able to attend the family Christmas dinner, and toasted his family with much love and gratitude. He was a WW2 vet and was seriously injured during the Italian campaign. He never took a single day of his life for granted. He wanted his grandchildren to remember that especially.

Many obituaries also mention how the passed "spent many enjoyable years RV'g."

But then, we already knew that.

Retirement? Funny, I am busier than ever because family and friends are positive I have nothing but free time so ask endlessly for favors. The Airstream is a wonderful way to say, "Sorry, I'll be out on another trip then!"

Are there any good anwers, or are answers merely a mechanism that avoids the really good questions?

Since a competition only has one winner, are we a society of losers?
