Wellllll, that was a class I took 2 years ago. Not my pattern - it's called Starlight Retreat. Took me 2 years to finish it - the stars are somewhat complicated to say the least). You can't see the mistake I made with one of the star points - got the triangles turned around. I left it in because it would have been a major pain to rip out, and only God is perfect. None of my quilts are! It's almost all batiks - some left over from another quilt class, and the rest from my stash. Thank you for the kudos!

Dropped off the 3 quilts for quilting tonight at my class. I showed them off to my classmates during "show and tell", and they were admired by all. Here is an ammended label I changed out for the original I posted. I had an incorrect state, and I didn't want to leave it that way.

Are you still going to accept more blocks? The quilts are beautiful and you have done a terrific job putting them together. I admire your dedication to this very valuable project. Susan'

Yes, I will still take blocks if someone wanted to send them. We make blocks at several different retreats, and I can continue to collect and make another quilt. My husband was in the Navy, and I have a son in the Navy currently so it tends to be something rather close to my heart that I can do for others.

Bed quilts

Although they would be super cute in the Tradewind they are not for her, they are for two very special wee ones, I will post pics when I get them all finished up (Im thinking 2-3 weeks).

Recently went to a Quilting Estate Sale and I scored big, with notions, hoops, pearl cotton, zippers and cute trims. Have you ever been to a quilting estate sale? Its a fabulous way to spend a Saturday morning I tell ya! www.estatesales.net sign up there and they will email you estate sales in your area that are coming up.

Garden row markers

Been working a lot in the garden so far this spring with this warm weather. Recently a friend gave me a few upholstery samples from her discontinued book so I made row markers to hang on teh garden fence beyond each row, so far I made one for Tomatoes, Eggplant, Peas and Pumpkins:

Wow. I am seriously so flippin' excited that I found this thread. I am majorly in love with quilting! I just started quiltiing last summer and have made about 4-5 lap quilts, a twin size quilt, and a number of baby quilts.
I have a BabyLock Grace. Love it!!!!! DOes anyone else have this machine and use it for free motion quilting? I'm having a bobbin thread tension issue, not sure what I'm missing.
Anyhow, I love seen all your pics, fellow quilters!
Check out this fabric! I'm making a quilt for our AS!

Hi, Mrs. Mod; I don't know anything about your sewing machine, but mine has a bobbin thread tension adjusting screw on the bobbin holder. I only had to adjust it once in thirty years.
