Yeah, I like that name. I would be willing to gather all the quilt blocks together and put it together into a quilt or 2 depending on how many people contribute a block. We could decide on color, or theme or something like that. I think I have a block pattern that would be good to use since people tend to put blocks together with varying seam sizes. This block would be "floating" on the background so I could size them all the same before putting them together.

The QOV site has a fair number of very specific instructions, something we should check out before beginning this project. See Basic QOV Requirements and the other related pages.

I also like the name Quiltairs, and am also willing/happy to contribute a block to this project.

I can't believe I have finally made it to the end of this thread. i have been reading every post for the last 8 hours. Not much else was done today. lol

I have wanted to comment a million times today but have not...so here goes.
*Love the name Quiltair
*The generator cover is fab.
*Of all the beautiful quilts here I like the ones that are reflected in the "stream. Not they the others are not as beautiful, I just like the AS in the background.
*I am dying to see what Diego's cushions will look like with the new material. (I am pretty sure it is Diego...hopefully)
* I would be good for several blocks if we get that idea together.

My name is Missy and I have been quilting for a little over a year. We live full time in a SOB that is parked at the Grand Canyon. I currently have a truck camper that we "play" in but it is going on the market tomorrow so we can get another AS. I have been avoiding the forums since we sold our old rig but can't handle it any longer.

I am glad to be back and glad to know that I already have a featherweight to take in my future to me new rig.

Missy

Excuse my ignorance of camper jargon, but what is an SOB?

Here's my new "toy" (and it feels like one after using a bigger machine). I got it off the Featherweight 221 Factory website and am very happy with the machine and accoutrements I got as well as the service. It was probably a little pricier than I could have gone, but I figured it was worth it to get so many attachments and a refurbished machine that is so pretty. I'm already using the ruffler attachment to put a ruffle on my new grandbaby's quilt (due in June - it's a girl).

Minno, oh, that's a pretty Featherweight Lucky you to have one with the attachments. I've read about them, but have none...just that so-dependable straight stitch, forward and back. My quilting friends think I'm funny when I carry my little featherweight to our quilting sessions while they are wheeling in their heavy multi-tasking machines. I have one of those too (Bernina QE4400) but I love my little Featherweight more. Yours is in gorgeous condition. ~G

Your new toy is absolutely stunning! It made me RUN to their website and check out what else they have available. Yours such a beautiful color - still very classic (and classy) looking, but with a twist!

The Featherweight has been repainted and reconditioned, with all new decals, etc. He includes multiple attachments, and bobbins, etc. I'd say the service I've gotten from this guy is outstanding. We had a minor question when we received the machine, and he has bent over backwards to accomodate us. It's not an "original" Featherweight color from what I've read on them. Original colors were white, black and green (in England) I think. I do love the color, and I believe in using my antiques, so I WILL use it! I've already had to take the bobbin case holder apart to get a jam out of it. I like mechanical machines, though. Easy to service myself, not like the electronic machines. I have 3 of those.......
