Georgia,
I haven't given up... just putting it on hold. Maybe we'll take a trip that puts us near the store...you never know!

I have a quilt I call nebulous needles (dropped so many needles while hand quilting it...felt like I was always looking for one) that I feel the same way about. It was probably one of the toughest quilts I'd done up to that point and when I finally got it together I strongly disliked it. I used a full fat quarter bundle to make it. It just gives me a headache to look at. Particularly after hand quilting it.

Funnily enough, we are headed to Florida for Christmas. At least 6 days of above 60 degrees...heavenly...right?

Christmas Gifts

Here is a quilt I made for my Mother in Law (the red one) and one for my Mom (the green one). They are made from vintage inspired fabrics.

Current Project

We are just about packed and ready to head South to Arizona. I decided that I didn't have room for my sewing machine, but I have this scrap quilt that needs to be bound and this way we have an extra cover for the bed if it is cold at night.

There are 1400 half square triangles in this quilt made entirely from free scraps from my quilt group. A couple of times a year we pile all of our scraps on the floor and everyone takes what they can use, so over the course of two or three piles there was enough green scraps to make this quilt.

This will probably be my last post for this year, so I would like to take this time to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy 2011. Bonnie

All of you have a very productive hobby! I can't say I'm one of you, but my sister is definitely a quilter. She has a huge machine that she uses to quilt her works of art with. I know you all know it as a long arm machine--I just think it's HUGE! Anyhow, she made this really cute quilt for me for my 50th birthday (so sad THAT day came!). She knows me well & knows what my obsession is!

I've looked for Airstream fabric but couldn't find it - is it out there somewhere?

I'll ask my sister where she got it. I think she got it online somewhere.
