Oh, mcair.... you too? I've gotten some knitting done this week as well! I feel the same way. It does't feel right to not do something so i get out the scarf that's taken 8 months to not finish!

Hi, that's really nice; I didn't know that quilts grew on trees.

Project Idea

I had to share this quilt with you guys. I have actually decided to make a variation of it.

Pendleton patchwork West Coast Crafty

I sent an email to Pendleton to ask them some questions. They said the sample cards are extremely rare but they get shipments in of the other options almost weekly. I then called them to order the material. I am going to make 3 of them for our A/S.... something else to combat the cold nights.

I never heard of a fabric company selling plaid charm packs, that is really cool and plaid quilts would be perfect for hanging out by the campfire with! I wonder if they also sell these things I am new too and have never tried yet: "Jelly Rolls". You can also supplement with old plaid flannel shirts or work shirts ; )

Pendleton store carries wool yarn? Uh oh. that could be dangerous considering this knitting kick that i am on right now.
Our last unit rally is this weekend and I have plenty of knitting toys to play with in front of the fire!

Here is the first email from them:

"you can either call us at 866-865-9285. or if you would like I can invoice you through paypal. we have 2 types of fabric by the pound. we have large remnants for $5.00 a pound or blanket ends for $2.00 ( blanket headers) is what we call them. they are between 4 to 8 inches wide and 64" long.
I hope this helps
pwms"

not exactly a jelly roll but close... I am planning on jelly roll like strips for the quilt.

wow, I've been MIA for a week or so and everyone is making cool stuff. We are in the middle of a household move. Not wanting to see a box until... ummm... next week. Heading back up to Ohio (our new state) tomorrow to be reunited with hubby and our airstream.

I wish I had something to show, but all I have are packing boxes...

where is everybody? Let's see what y'all have been doing the last 2 weeks. Lois is excused for moving but what have the rest of us done? I have finished knitting my scarf and am in the middle of making the teenager's wool coat. It is going slower because she keeps changing her mind about things she wants embroidered on it. If she doesn't decide soon it will get finished as is so I can get it off my table. Right now I am working around it but I want it out of the way soon.

And ladies, what about the Quilt Show rally? 2011 show is April 27-30. There is a nice group camp at the Canal campground in Grand rivers, KY. It has 8 spots with electric and a pavillion and is right on the lake! As of today it is still available.

What I've been up to!

I just finished this one this week for a newborn baby, its a weave quilt. They say they are easy, let me tell you it was not one of the easiest ones Ive made but turned out so soft and really a comfy little quilt with lots of character! I wrapped it in celophane to give and named it Tabitha after the new baby.

Next project (as if I dont already have anything to do): Placemats for turkey day and xmas!

For new grandson

Vicky made his for our new grandson Christopher born last week on my birthday. She started it before knowing gender so tried to make it kind of gender neutral.
