Jezibels, that's a wonderful little quilt - is that applique work or print?

Last winter I had a project with my grandchildren where I cut many squares of fabric from my and the other grandmother's stash of fabric. Also they were allowed to pick some fabric to buy. They organized the squares, we sewed them together and I finished the quilt. Here is one of the quilts:

How perfect! Something from both grandmother's, they get to design it, and you both have great memories for a life time!

Getting ready to quilt my Happy Camper Too

I'm getting ready to make the quilt "sandwich", baste, & quilt my piecework based on Moda's Happy Camper Too fabric. I decided to use some of the fabric from the front border cloth as a border for the back.

This is a bed runner I made for our condo bed (king size). It was made with 15 FQs by Joel Dewberry (Deer Valley) and some Kona cotton. I FMQd the runner, using a swirlish paisley-like design.

I love this piece as the machine quilting was something I'm still in the process of learning. Loving it. So fun! There are tons of mistakes in this piece, but it was a great learning experience!

Thanks Sabine,

The animals were from the crib skirt and they were applique (but not by me), I just cut them out and sewed them to pieces I cut from my husbands worn out work shirts. The jean pockets are from the little ones' baby overalls.

Machine quilting is nice because you see results very fast, but one thing I did like about quilting by hand was I could take it anywhere and it was very relaxing especially in the wintertime!

I'm new to this site as well as being new to R. Ving. We purchased our first R.V. an Airstream motor home in May & have been learning the ropes close to home, in Michigan. This is my first time posting on this site...So, if this isn't allowed, tell me gently...I have a Singer Featherweight to sell. It's in perfect condition...Comlpete with the case & a few tools. I just had it at our local sewing machine shop for a tune up. The woman there said they go for $700. I only want $350. (what I have into it) If anyone is interested in one,my email is: dowpells@charter.net
By the way, 62bam that is the sweetest Airstream. I would love to be talented enough to restore an old one.
