I don't know a lot about this show but here in St. Louis the Midwest RV show that is held in the Convention Center gets the RV's from the dealers, not the manufacturers. The economy plays a big part of how many dealers show up.
I know my local dealer, while participating every year has minimized the number of Airstreams he brings down. For one thing it's expensive. Secondly from a trailer stand point the Airstream is the most expensive trailer (short of some high end 5th wheels) there. He sells other brands and quite honestly I don't believe he has sold very if any Airstreams on the floor. His lower priced trailers are a different story. Many dealers are bringing down their most popular trailers that tailor to the economics of the time.
Airstreams tend not to be in impulse buy and those folks wanting one tend to seek him out and look at the inventory at the dealership.
Back in my pop up days, I would wait for the RV show and buy there to get the deals.
