Problems could be worse.
This poor family of full timers are having a hard time dealing with Heartland RV.
That only has a 1 year warranty.

After reading this account I guess having a screw come loose on my AS from time to time is not that big of an issue. So sad!
Who owns Heartland?

I’ll give you one guess........
Heartland RVs is an American manufacturer of recreational vehicles located in Elkhart, Indiana and a subsidiary of Thor Industries.

So who makes the frames in our Airstreams?

Frame Failure
Looks like a Total loss. Couple of questions come to mind. Were you within weights limits for the axle rating? Cat Scale ticket would be handy to have to prove to manufacturer that unit was not overloaded. How much tire pressure? How much weight transfer back to the trailer from WD hitch? Your pictured tow vehicle has a pretty stiff rear axle suspension. Was it to stiff and helped overstress the frame? You stated that you had a crack fixed early on in trailers life. After repair did you Cat Scale loaded rig to make sure within all stated limits? When something fails to this degree there is usually a reason. If all weights were within specs, and you can prove that, and on one of the rough roads you said you had experienced a one time hit in a large pothole started the ball rolling for the frame failure, you may have a case. In any case, most, if not all manufacturers, state in there literature that the unit is not intended for full time living. Yes, that is the lawyers speaking, but that is the way it is. Hope you find a suitable replacement as I doubt your Heartland can be fixed.

Looks as if that camper was airborne and landed hard.

Problems could be worse.
And was a bit sideways when it landed based on the bend in the axle mounting plate. Not encouraging. I can’t prove overloaded, but that’s the way I’d bet.

Not buying their story.
Hi, sorry to hear about this poor trailer, but I wouldn't touch it. "A few pot holes"????? Were the pot holes three feet deep? My opinion is that this trailer was severely abused. If someone could show me at least ten more exactly like this, you will never convince me that the worst made trailer in the World would just fall apart like this one. I would like to see these people's next trailer after 3.5 years of use.

Lots of people are eager to believe every sob story about some poor innocent victim wronged by an evil corporation and others are willing to take advantage of that fact when telling their side of a story. Sounds to me like Heartland probably diagnosed the problem accurately. Not sure how else that corner piece could possible get bent up and forward unless they backed into a tree limb or other overhanging object. That would also push the trailer down, bend the running grear and start the whole process of falling apart.
