After the dust clears from the hotly contested backyard Easter egg hunt Sunday afternoon, tune into ABC and check out the premiere of “Grey’s Anatomy”. The show comes on after “Desperate Housewives”. The hospital drama hosts a 28’ International CCD as home to one of the lovelorn surgeons on staff.
The first four episodes were shot last fall in Los Angeles with a unit supplied by Fred Donson at California RV in Fontana, CA.

Cool, thanks for the tip

Do you ever make it up beyond the redwood curtain? My folks are involved with an interpretive center in the Humboldt redwoods. They are always telling me of their encounters with Airstreamers at the visitor center.
Yes, I've been up to Humbolt Redwoods State Park and it is absolutely fabulous. There is nothing, and I mean nothing like camping in an ancient redwood forest. The trees are truely magical. Albee Creek Campground used to be a favorite in my old Westy. But now I am too spoiled by my AS and have to have hookups. I haven't been to the Interpretive Center but will sure drop in next time. Love places like that. Did you grow up there? Lucky if you did. Happy Easter.

Was I asleep at the switch or distracted? I did not see an Airstream in the first episode. The lovelorn surgeon (I assume) woke up naked in the star intern's very expensive house. After that all the action was in a hospital.
Davydd, I don't think you were asleep or distracted...I didn't see the Airstream either. Overall, I enjoyed the show! I'd give it 3/5 for entertainment value and a 1/5 for medical accuracy...4 surgical interns and a resident meeting a helicopter on top of the hospital for a patient with a grand mal seizure--come on! From what I've heard, wouldn't about any house in Seattle be expensive???
We flipped over to the show a few times, but mostly we were watching RV Expo 2005 on the Home & Garden channel, Airstream got some very good exposure. First with a 28' CCD , then with a Safari Bambi and then one of the moho's, the Westfalia?

RedEagle--You missed one other mention! There was also the T@B, which is identified on the show's website as an Airstream product (who'da thunk?).
Frankly, we got the feel--about midway through--that the show was essentially an hour-long paid product placement video. After they kept returning to Airstreams, we both felt that Airstream must have contributed handsomely to filming costs. It was all just a bit too crass, but I guess that's what sells trailers.
Sorry for the red herring. I was contacted by “Grey’s Anatomy” producers on Friday and simply told that the show would air on Sunday. I wrongly assumed that this episode would include the Airstream.
As far as RV 2005 goes, Airstream didn’t pay a thing for the exposure. It seems that Airstream commands a good bit of “mind share” in the world of RVs these days.
My bad, I hope I didnt offend. Somewhere between the over the top Class As, I got a bit of overkill. Please accept my apology. Were you one of the folks that appeared in the show? If so, whom?
BTW--do you know who sold those cool tables they showed at the very end? That one guy didn't even get his name on the screen--but the tables were very, very pretty.
