We've enjoyed your posts that have reflected the wonderful times the two of you have had on the road... and shared with us all through the forum. And, we are saddened by this news. We pray for strength for you in this last part of your journey back to Iowa.

Celebrating Doug's life

Memories... Three years ago today Maggie wrote:

"This pic was taken our second day out in January's freezing temperatures. She kept coming up front to look out the window, kind of like "where ARE we GOING?" I'm sure to her it seemed we were driving forever. She seemed to figure out that Doug was propelling us along, so focused her attention on exactly what HE was doing for a bit----and I snapped the picture."

Thank you so much for all the prayers and support. I have read every post, email and pm. I really love the pictures.

I am in Brunswick, GA and will be starting to head toward home later today. I am going to find a campground to help me dump the tanks and put in a little fresh water.

Before I get back into Illinois, probably Saturday, I am going to have to re winterize. Is there anyone on the interstate trajectory from here maybe in KY who can help me with this? I haven't looked at the maps too much, but will use major interstates so I don't have to focus too much on navigation.

I will check back in to nite. Thank you all so much.

Maggie

Maggie, if you can swing by here, either the shop or our home (courtesy parking), I can winterize the Interstate for you. We are not TOO far off the beaten path for you.

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear this sad news. I don't know your route home, but if we can help in any way, we are located just north of Charlotte.

Maggie,

Danielle and I are saddened to hear the news. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your loved ones during this emotional time.

It seems like yesterday that we bumped into you and Doug at a campground in northern Illinois. It's wonderful that you two were able to do so much traveling in recent years - hopefully that will be of some comfort during the weeks, months and years to come.

Maggie,

I am so sorry. As I read this, I just can't keep the tears back. You've touched our lives in ways I can't even put into words, we only were able to rally together once (Moraine View 2012), but Air Forums keeps everyone close.

You, Lily and your families are in my prayers.

Good morning, Maggie. We hope that you had a restful night, or as restful as possible under the circumstances.

If we can be of any assistance, please let us know. Along that line, if you should decide to proceed west from Brunswick prior to heading north because of the weather situation in the Midwest, we have a safe and quiet place to stop along the way. We are located about 300 miles west of Jacksonville. We have a place to park the Airstream, and can provide assistance with winterizing if you would want to do it at this point. We have full hook-ups at our house, but we could also provide you with a room in our home with a private bath.

Have a safe journey. and remember that there are many friends here sharing your grief.

Still praying for you Maggie! I'm not on your path but my mother belongs to RVing Women and they have a large network out there and I could ask her if she could contact someone close to your route to help out.
