Prank Warning
Just wanted to warn you guys about a prank going around,
about the best way to make a lot of jello. They tell you to
simply pour 30 boxes of Jello Brand mix into your fresh water tank before you depart, and it will be ready when you reach camp.
Don't do it. You will feel sticky after showers for weeks. I called
Aquajet to see how to clean the pump and they acted like I was some kind of crackpot!!!!!!!

Rather than jello
Why not just fill the tank with vodka? You'll be a happy camper and never have to worry about winterizing the trailer.

Hey Rog
Actually, I am just stupid enough to try that. Except for the danger factor and not wanting to go down in history as the stupidest man on earth, and I hate it when I blow up my trailer!
Alcohol is water soluable....so I think it would be an easy antifreeze to purge from the system come springtime. And a lot nicer to the environment . I sniffed some moonshine once that I don't think would ice up very easily.
But might melt the plastic.........and the copper

Rog.
This may sound crazy..but a while back I to was thinking why not just buy a few gallons of really cheap vodka to use for winterizing...and then in the spring you flush it out into martini glasses. From what I understand, it is much more palatable than the pink stuff. Who knows, someone might see me with a giant straw connected to my two wheel aluminum flask!

Tequila
If one were to substitute Tequila, and add some coarse salt, the synergistic effects of the salt and ethanol would result in further depression of the freezing point.

I can't believe it.....one of my friends actually tried using Vodka
as an antifreeze in his camper. He said mold grew in the tank because of the sugar. What was he thinking???!!!
Hey Niki...Thanks for noticing my new avatar.

shouldn't that motto be "not as bad as it smells?"
Just kidding, but I used to go to college in Staten Island, and when you got on the Jersey side it was quite rank.
