What browser are you using? The last time I posted, I was unable to post using Firefox on my Mac, but was successful using Safari.

I call it "Griener's Dream Yard"

Located just outside the Adirondack State Park in up-state NY.
Local lore has it that they were busted during the Korean War for selling scrap illegally, and were prevented from selling anything up til the end of the seventies.

I keep telling my-self the next time we are up there I'll jump the fence again and see what's left. (if these old legs got any jump left in 'em)

What a great place. I grew up near a place like that and was able to walk in anytime i wished. I would love to go back 35 years and pick something out now. Its probably all gone so its nice to see places like this still exist..

Don't tell me that Ford's dash came from a car in that junk yard! It looks like it was taken while the car was in the show room.

Nope...That's "Bertha's" dash. She lived for her first 23yrs about 2mi away from that yard on Rt.8, just outside the Adirondack State Park. Grandma let us purchase her in 1976, we have been the custodians ever since.

Purchased from Snyder Motors in the Fall of 1952.

Gram's last drive, Oct. 1976.

OMGoodness, PARTS. Parts galore. I feel a road trip coming on really quickly. Thanks for thinking of me.......of course my wife will take the monitor away if she sees your pictures but my heart is just a beating like it used to when my future wife would come into view......

This is great stuff. Since I moved to the west coast from the prairies we almost never see a slew of old cars laying about any more. I miss that. My wife, on the other hand, thinks it is a good thing that I'm away from all those tempting "but honey, it's almost all there" cars laying about.
