Pea sized hail...(whew!!)

We lucked out tonight here in SE OK...and was watching the internet radar and thanked God we were in the tailend of a system drifting northeast...about ten minutes of pea sized hail....the AS withstood it and we have no dents at all! (whew!)

Here's some shots of tonights action just before dark...Right after it I shot the picture before the hail melted...then took a shot of the departing storm system...then went right back to playing my 'SuperCow game' Ha Ha!

Heads up

Thanks for the warning. We are next in line for that weather...about midnight....like you, the tornado alerts are out. Babys are all in the barn.

Just got rain here farther up I-44. We certainly do need lots more rain, but that other "stuff" that comes with it, WE DON'T NEED! Have the Argosy sitting here by the house and the Sovereign sitting down at Lake Eufaula. Now I have two places to worry about weather. Good luck to both you and the General. You are down there where it often gets a little hectic this time of year. I just get to watch it move right on up I-44 and old Route 66 on the television and wonder if I need to throw my body over the Argosy or the new pontoon boat. So far we have dodged a bullet, but now we have snow coming for Thursday and Friday. What happened to Spring?

Hail and aluminum make a wretched combo. We had some hail here last week and I got a slightly sick feeling in the pit of my stomach when I heard is start to hit the Minuet. Fortunately the frozen bits were small and no harm was done.

Pea sized hail/wind

Well the next day (Tuesday) I went to get some cat food...this building is right where our tailer was parked two weeks ago--right in front of that dock and right below the damage...wonder what it would have done to us had we been there? ...looks like God used a can opener don't it?

The wife, dogs, 'stream and I are in Russellville, Arkansas. The same line of storms came through here this afternoon. After waiting for 3 months on minor repairs to our Airstream, I wasn't going to take any chances with hail. So I found a local storage facility with a covered spot and paid them to drop it there for the day.

Call me paranoid (my wife did), but it was money well spent. The storms were pretty severe, even though we got no hail. Sixty MPH winds, torrential rain. But the 'stream was parked safely out of harm's way.

All in all, it was a small price to pay for peace of mind.
