Patriots Day
Fellow Forum Members-
Please remember that today is Patriot Day and we need to all remember those lost in the 9/11 attacks. I hope everyone is displaying our American Flag today in rememberance of those lost. Having lost a family member in the World Trade Towers, today is a reminder of how quickly our world can change.
Please fly your flag as we all did in the days after this horrible event in our hations history.
Rick

My 450 Elementary students wrote letters to our local Civil Servants, including our Firemen, police, EMT and Military. They sang the National Anthem and recited the Pledge of Allegance as we thanked and remembered all that have sacrificed for our wonderful county and the freedoms we enjoy. The little guys don't remember 911 but they do know who their heroes are... God Bless America.

A couple of quick Patriot stories to close out 9/11.
My nephew, Nick, joined the Air Force just before 9/11. He’s on his second deployment since. Currently, he’s in southern Iraq.
Our eldest daughter’s friend “Bob” is currently deployed in West Texas with the Georgia National Guard in support of the relief efforts for hurricane Ike. This is his second deployment since 9/11. The first deployment was in Iraq. He joined just after 9/11.
“Dan”, one of my coworkers, spent 25 years in the Army/National Guard. He was in Desert Storm and Iraq. He’s a combat Medic. He’s one of those guys that you see in the movies that crawls out on the battlefield and drags your sorry butt back. A bona fide American hero.
These guys are all great men in my view. The best part of America.
May God bless them and keep them safe.
Jim
