Parted with an old friend today...

After buying the AS a month ago, I finally got around to listing our Jayco Kiwi 23D Hybrid on Craigslist last Friday. I had a lot of response to the ad and sold it to the second person that looked at it. They stopped by and settled up today. I be storing it for a few days while they get their F150 setup for towing.

We had a lot of fun in the Jayco. One thing I will miss is sleeping in the tent ends on a nice summer night in the woods. One thing I won't miss is sleeping in the tent ends when it is cold/real hot/ or worst of all, we are stuck to the noisy group on the camp loop (you know, 3am, having to get out of bed, walk over in the dark ..... with my LED Mag Light shining in their eyes .... telling them to shut the you know what up.... . Usually a bunch of kids, but not always. Anyway, the overwhelming majority of our memories with this trailer after 6 years are very positive. Lots of fun times. I also think the Jayco offered a lot of value for the money. I got back over 50% of my purchase price after 6 years. I think that was pretty good, especially considering it had a ceiling leak that I had to repair (looks pretty good if I do say so, check out the photos of the trailer on this album I created for my Craigslist ad..... Picasa Web Albums - fauxpasdenman - For Sale 2003....

I hope the new folks have a lot of fun, safe trips just like we did.

Hope you'll have many great memories in the AS as well.

We'll have to be doing this soon, gearing up for the wrench of parting ways with our loved Gypsy, 31' Classic Limited. Just had her detailed today and she looks so fresh and pretty. Like you, she gave us many good trips and back yard campouts, not to mention serving as guest cabin when our kids came for weekends. However, we need to downsize to handle traveling now and into the future, so we've bought a small Argosy Minuet, and roomy, comfy, so easy to tow Gypsy will be rehomed. Enjoy your new unit. You turned your Jayco quickly. Hope we can do the same! ~G
