Sportsmen and sportswomen coming out to Oregon for the International Rally,
Please consider coming to the 17th Annual Oregon Waterfowl Festival with Elk Camp. We are a not for profit, volunteer ran, event that gives to youth outdoor projects and habitat conservation. Our festival this year is a short 25 min from the State Fairgrounds, toward the coast, at Polk County Fairgrounds; right at the intersection of Highways 99 and 22.
The festival is all day Saturday and Sunday. There are hunting seminars, vendors, and calling contests. If you are a hunter who loves waterfowling, or perhaps you are a lifelong deer hunter who is intrigued by its big cousin the Wapiti (elk) then you have to find time to come down!
For more information please look over our website, which will be continually updating:
www.oregonwaterfowlfestival.com
Baskett Slough, featured in the latest Blue Beret, will be one of our primary fund recipients this year as they reinstate youth hunting opportunities on the Federal Refuge.
Please cross the Willamette and come out. Leave a note on my Unit 8815 if we don’t run into one another.
Safe travels!
Mike Thissell
President
Oregon Waterfowl Festival
PS No hard feelinging if you don’t come to the festival, and I look forward to meeting many of you the last weekend at the Rally. We will be staying as short-timers in the solar only section
