Dr John RIP
Just heard the sad news. OTRA II tho it is a standard for our OTR music pack and dovetails nicely with a bourbon at bed time.

Couldn't find the compete U tube version of Duke Elegant (IMO possibly his best work) , so here is a sampler and the play list. Fortunate to have seen him locally a few years ago at the Shedd. They broke the mold after him.

I’m not a music aficionados so I need help finding an I Heat Radio station that plays a little of late 60’s, 70’s and maybe a bit of 80’s. Nothing too deep or B side. Maybe some upbeat driving tunes. A little Carol King, Bob Seager. Janis Joplin to ZZ Top. Thanks.

Gaby Moreno did a nice version on "Live From Here" last Saturday, but the second YT link below is the best I could find of her cover.

This great Linda Ronstadt tune was covered recently on "Live From Here" . . . the Saturday night variety show that took the place of Prairie Home Companion.
What a fine rendition by Chris Eldridge . . . wow!

And Stan’s younger brother Garnet - Night Drive is an amazing tribute and love letter to his brother Stan. I highly recommend headphones and 10 completely uninterrupted minutes....
I saw him play this live, and morph it in to Stan’s Northwest Passage - I cried like a baby all night. I felt like I had been invited to a family wake and I was truly honored to pay my respects...
