Speaking of "Road" songs, how about Any Old Road (Will Take You There) by Balsam Range?

Yee Ha!

PS -- The studio version is a little cleaner, but watching the pickin' is fun . . .

History and Memories....Along the Way

An oldie -- perhaps somewhat dated -- but these bone-chillin' images of WW2 aviation never out date themselves. (Spent more time in the warbird hangar today. A place where I am forever humbled).

When "they" were young....

Thanks for the video, Fly at Night.

You're welcome, Tn Traveler.

It was my pleasure to recently attend the Celebration of Life for a RCAF veteran who made it to the grand age of 100. He did not fly in the Battle of Britain, but did survive numerous bombing missions over the English Channel and back. A miracle in itself, considering 50% of the Bomber Command did not.

He would paraphrase another famous quote: There are no atheists in the flight deck of a Lancaster Bomber.

The Bomber Command Museum in Nanton (Alberta, Canada) do occasional engine run-ups with their Lanc. The night start-ups are amazing, with those four Merlins spitting fire. All are welcome to attend.

Thanks for the report Bob. The "Santa Rosa" caught my eye, but the wrong state! Here is that classic road song.

Happy East-bounding -- glad you are on the road again and having fun!

"The first thing I remember knowing,
Was a lonesome whistle blowing,
And a young un's dream of growing up to ride,
On a freight train leaving town,
Not knowing where I'm bound,
And no one could change my mind but Mama tried"

Yee Ha!

Peter

Heard this great Gibson Brothers tune on XM Bluegrass Junction this morning.

"We don't know where we're going,
But we sure are making good time!"

Hear the expansion joints in the concrete highway clickin' on by?

Yee Ha!
