Thanks again for all the great tunes you have posted here. When Liz Wright popped up on our iTunes shuffle this morning, I realized that you haven't posted in a while. I hope everything is OK.

Cheers,

Peter

Here's one I was reminded of from the current November 2016 Photo Contest (originally named Photo Concert - a title that didn't need changing in my view...)

Thanks -- "Leave it like it is."

A good tune and reminder to keep it simple, and don't fix it if it ain't broke. Agree that the "concert" moniker was a nice touch on that thread!

Thanks for posting the Utube of Paint Your Wagon. It is one of my favorite musicals. Now I understand why (I love to travel and wonder). I did not really realize that when I first watched the movie some 45 years ago. Gonna have to watch it again now.

You're very welcome, Otra.

And why is it - even though the dreams may be sweet - the miles seem longer when thinking of an unrequited love?

I don't believe anyone has mentioned the passing of Leonard Cohen at age 83. He entertained 'til near the end. I loved his style, and the great Hammond B3 solo parts.

And for those of us of a certain age an especially poignant song.

Thank you for posting this remembrance, and a good choice. Did you happen to see the recent Saturday Night Live with Hallelujah opening the show, sung by "HC" ? Worth a look online.

One of my favorite Leonard Cohen songs was Song of Bernadette, and Jennifer Warnes does a great rendition.

And another great passing, the great George Jones. Here is one of the best country songs of all time.

A great duet version of that song, new to me. Thanks.

Segueing to Flashdance -- What A Feeling, by Irene Cara, with a great On The Road Again beat!

One of my very favorite guitarist, Mark Knopfler, plays a great solo. This will move you on down the road.

Yes he is amazing, and no stranger here. Check out Posts #5, 8, 40, 43, and 138. The performance referenced in Post #43 . . .

. . . follows here with that guitar work starting at 7:35 for a couple of minutes (esp. 8:43). Eric Clapton playing back-up guitar? Get outta here!
