It hit 100 degrees in Phoenix today. I agree; where did spring go -- It must be in Prescott or someplace a little farther north!

Our Denver relatives were here last week to see the last of the spring training games. They had to take the Interstates home, because it's still winter in the Colorado Rockies...

It's springtime and wildflower time in Anza-Borrego Desert

After a 5-night stay at Agua Caliente San Diego County Park, we left at noon yesterday, as the thermometer pushed the high 90s.

But it's still spring in Anza-Borrego Desert, California, and the wildflowers are still blooming, and sun umbrellas, awnings, sunglasses, Tilley hats, protective clothing and sunblock are in order.

Spring has sprung in central Illinois. Daffodils, crocus and other early blooms are up, trees are beginning to bud and green is coming into the lawn.

Love spring, a time of renewal and beauty and all those good, heartwarming things that just make ya smile.

Also puts me in a sprucing-up and cleaning up and ridding out frenzy---every year. Poor Doug.

Enjoy.

Were camping!! It was in the 60s yesterday and today mid 70s and the 80 Sunday! 5mph winds, Perfect! This is our (mine, someone else is still sleeping) view from Melvern Lake KS.
The dogs won't pose for the picture but still insist on being in it.

What a great campsite! We should be out there too. Melvern Lake isn't too far from us. It is a beautiful weekend in the heartland!

Page was messing with the mulch under a rosemary bush and discovered (but didn't greatly disturb) a hibernating turtle.

Hope that doesn't mean 6 more weeks of winter, or something.

Typical Denver...

Denver Weather Forecast

7:45 PM, Apr 2, 2011
We shattered our previous record high temperature Saturday when Denver reached 84 shortly after 1 p.m. The old record was 76 on April 2, 1996.

TONIGHT: Plan on increasing clouds tonight and it will be windy at times with southwesterly winds up to 25 mph. Overnight lows will be in the upper 40s.

SUNDAY: Rain will develop during the day and then change into snow after 3 p.m. as a powerful cold front passes over the Front Range. After the record high on Saturday, Sunday's high should be before noon and will stay in the 50s.

Go figure...

Shari

It was a great weekend. The wind was bad today but it was a good first spring weekend camping trip. Now were ready for the Air Midwest rally in Branson April 14th!!!
