Not an Airstream but...
My Mom just bought a Born Free b+ this weekend and we helped her go get it. It's not an AS but it's very nice! They remind me of our group, nicely built and they have a nice club as well. It makes me smile that at 70, widowed, a new hip... She still loves to see the country in an RV! Mom and Dad have always had an RV from a H Rambler 38' to now a 22'. I'm a happy and proud son to have an Adventurous Mother! Thanks RVW (Rving women) for keeping her on the road!

Thanks! RVW made a huge Difference in her life! They did an article on her a few years ago on how when she lost her husband she was ready to give up R ving but RVW gave her the courage to buy a smaller RV and shes seen most of the country with RVW. It's a very nice group!

Awesome! Good luck on hers and your travels. Occasionally, I have wondered what we will do when we can no longer handle the "bus". Hopefully, it's a good 20 years or more off, but stories like this open us up to alternatives.

I'm so silly! I didn't realize RVW was an actual group, just thought it was a general term. But since I am woman -- I think I will check it out, lol !!
I wish your mom many, many, many happy travels !!

That is great. Looks so happy. Get some pics of the inside. Love to see it. Is she joining us in Eureka springs? She looks fun.

She took off so fast I barely got that shot! She's a KU fan and was excited to drive her new rig!

You should be proud.
There is this organization called "Sisters on the Fly". Your Mom might want to check it out, especially if she likes fishing. It's a nation wide organization of RV'rs who travel together and have a good time. None of this "you have to have this" to join and no age restrictions. I heard the only rule is "NO MEN, NO KIDS and NO DOGS". They have a website.

Born Frees are supposed to be some of the best built RVs on the road. As I understand it they have built in roll bars etc. I hope she has lots of fun and safe travels.

Brad, her courage just blows me away. Big step and it is just great that she has the confidence to get up and go.
I hope we see her on the road.

That's great, Brad...
We used to have a B+ before the Bambi and really liked it...and the Born Frees are great little mohos... Hers looks VERY sexy... (Ours was a Trail Lite...one of the first to come out with this hybrid size and classification...in between a B Conversion Van and a Class C)... They are a very nice size, espeically for one or two...
Go Mom! We'd love to meet her (and you, of course) on the road sometime...do you do trips with her?

If I can get her to pencil me in. she's going to be on the move with her shinny new hip and MH! The Born Free is a nice rig and it does have roll bars. I drove it to KC and it was a breeze and the F350 had plenty of power. Thanks for all of the replies.

Well...I wish her luck, except with the Jayhawks.
Go Aztecs.
Hey, how often does San Diego State go to March Madness?
Honestly, I can understand why you're pround of her. This RV'ing thing is a healthy endeavor.
