"Nose Art" for these silver beauties ...?

After reading another thread here this afternoon it seems like a good idea to incorporate some "Nose Art" as part of the exterior decor on these silver beauties.

Fits the theme of the rivet construction as well as a certain sense of nostalgia for these low flyers.

I'll be adding some nose art soon as well as little car silhouettes for every one taken out by the rig. LOL.

Any more ideas to carry this theme a little further would be most helpful.

Wow. We've been thinking the same thing. Since we're new Airstream owners and both pilots (we met in flight school) this idea seems like a natural for our 345. The hard part seems to be finding something that is a temporary rather than custom paint...maybe vinyl graphics or something that could be removed in the future to preserve the original AS look.

There is an auto graphics place not far from my office. I've been tempted to bring the AS by and see if they could do something. Maybe the P40 look? Nothing like a big set of teeth to keep those drivers from cutting in front of us!

I've been kinda surprised that more people don't do cool stuff like that. I think you could get someone to do some great paint work, maybe even airbrush something.

No offense gang, but the big red numbers are BORING!

I've got to say, that's a rockin' idea. However, I'm not so fond of pin-up girls (now pin-up BOYS is an entirely different matter), so what on earth can we put on our little road-rocket? You freewheelers have it so easy!

I must add though, at a rally earlier this year I saw a guy who'd had his utility compartment doors airbrushed with coral-reef scenes in Mexico. Kind of like the giant murals the motorhomes put on the back, but they were so tiny. Nose art would be better.

Not sure about the art, but maybe my name on the hatch like I once had on my F86:

pilot Capt. J W Irwin
CC K L Irwin

Oh, C'mon Stef... who's ever seen a pinup 'BOY' on the nose of a B-47 or B-25! Pinup girls aren't sexist, they're TRADITION! Well, ok, maybe just a LITTLE sexist...

But I must say, I kind of like the P-40 shark's teeth idea on a 345!

I suppose it would be indelicate to have sillouettes of BMWs, Hondas, and Toyotas on the sides? OK NOT politically correct... Idea withdrawn...

Katie's nose is an art form in itself.

I think she can sniff out one part per million of food or vermin at a distance of a mile or more.

We had been looking for silhouettes of construction barrels and orange cones for the nose of the Basher. Now that we're selling it, we gave up on the hunt. I'm hoping we'll avoid such road hazards with the new MH.

OK, that is hysterical!

Also, l'm pretty sure you add the silhouettes only after you shoot them down!
