Non Airstream aluminum repair help needed

During hurricane Cecil my two '50's Aluminum Tiki torches blew down.

There is a bowl shaped bottom with a pressed in non removable top piece.
When they fell they were dented on one side and now there is a non airtight section at the dent.

I see my options as taking it to a body shop for repair or finding a product that will seal that section. It must be impervious to the fluids inside the torch and to the flame should the breeze blow the flame to that section. The section is about 4-5 inches from the wick. There is only a hairline gap at the affected parts.

Anybody have a solution to this?

Gas tank repair expoy. Buy it in sticks at an automotive repair shop. Not pretty but it works. It is a two part system you mix together. You will have to get the oil off the lamp first before it will stick. Follow directions included.

CG,

I have used SikaFlex for a number of non=Airstream repairs and the stuff is impervious to a lot of chemicals once it is set up and fully cured. It comes in a perfectly matching aluminum color.........give it a try! It's also an excellent adhesive.

GC,

It's not easy to find, but the Airstream store on the web site has it. When you order it, be sure that you get a fresh tube that is NOT close to the expiration date. The stuff seems to really adhere (pun intended) to the expiration dates on the label!

Several members and I have used Austin Hardware -- fairly painless. Ditto on the gray being a good match to aluminum. Austin Hardware and Supply: Product: 'Sikaflex®-221'

I use a product called PC7 you can get it at ace hardware .mix both parts and apply , before it sets you can wet your fingers and smooth it out . when dried you can drill and tap it.
