Most of Manitoba got down to -35 degrees C. for 2 or 3 days. One of those days was a raging blizzard with whiteouts on the highways. The R.C.M.P closed down several sections of highways in Manitoba and Saskatchewan because of bad visibility.Oh well - should warm up by June

What I don't get is this global warming thing. I am certainly doing my part to help out. I have 4 gas guzzling vehicles, a riding mower, gas weed whacker, gas pressure washer, and so do all my neighbours. Yet here we sit with our 16th storm of the year, snow on the ground and it's darn cool out at a coupleo of degrees above zero celcius (mid 30's F). Geesh. This is more like global cooling if you ask me

That's the thing about global warming. The temps will increase for a while and then it will be cold like we could never imagine it. Watch the movie an inconvenient truth. I am afraid that our airstreams won't even be able to keep us warm enough. Sunday and monday here in atlanta it was short sleeves and sandals - 75 degrees. This morning we had a thin layer of ice.

There are two ways to die in the desert.
One is by thirst and the other is drowning.
