New York - are you out there?

N.Y. sees 110 inches of snow in 7 days

That's got to be worse than what Colorado went thru a short while back. That will be one of those stories that you tell your grandkids that they will never believe... When I was a kid, it snowed up to the rooftops, we had to climb out the chimney to walk to school (uphill both ways)

Robandzoe - are you buried?

WOW, great photo. I'm glad that's not me. I like snow, but....
All you northerners be safe.

It is amazing!

We are 35 miles south of Syracuse and we only have 8 or so inches on the ground - thankfully. Wait till it warms and that 10+" of rain (120+) inches of snow melts.... right now it's a frozen flood in wait!

We will get some Lake Effect as the winds are a shifting but only a few inches.

I bet the Airstream would stay warm under 10' of snow....but you could not run the furnace.

Rob

On Long Island we've had less than an inch all year.

Looks like summer can not get here too soon for the East side of the lakes!

I fish for for steelhead in the winter near Pulaski, NY which is just a few miles north of Parish, and about 35 miles north of Syracuse.

This time of the year, when you get about about 10 miles north of Syracuse you can invariably begin to see the "snow belt" snow line, with significantly more snow as you continue north.

We've fished many winter days there with temperatures near or below zero (18 below zero was my coldest, as I recall) with a couple feet or more of snow overnight or during the day.

However, that snow there now is a bit much, and I think I'll just stay home until sombody else breaks a trail to the river!

Jeepers, had you made a heart in the snow it would have almost qualified for the Feb photo contest. You could identify one of the lumps as your Airstream.

I would ask you to make a snow angel. However, they might not find you till summer.

These pictures remind me of the year I spent at SUNY (not sunny) Oswego...
