Nervous: delivery soon.

My Airstream will be leaving Michigan in the morning and hopefully will arrive at my house around 5 or 6 pm monday evening.............never seen it before except in pictures (see link below).

I am VERY nervous and not sure how I will act or feel when I first see it...........

How do you think I will feel when I see it coming down my long gravel drive way ?

Congratulations on your purchase. Looks like a great Airstream - did you also purchase the truck?

You will be beside yourself and a bit giddy! Hold onto something! And enjoy!

Have the previous owner go through everything with you, ask questions and take notes if necessary.

Best wishes on your new arrival! You'll be crazy in love with her! Definitely do some driveway camping tomorrow night. We've had our shiny pod for a little over a year now, and I still get goosebumps when I see her in the driveway....and I'm even happier when I'm lounging inside. Alas.....why does summer have to be so short?

Enjoy!

Robbie,

I am assuming the champagne is chilling, the camping supplies are sitting by the door, and the local walmart is out of everthing you might need, or want. Do you have the required flamingos to set up out front?

I wish you all the best and happy times with your new baby. Now, get out there and camp!

Marie

NEWS UPDATE>...I just read on a news blog that a 'large silver object' being towed in the midwest, was stopped tonight at a Homeland Security checkpoint and examined for possible contraband....

They had to remove much of the interior during the 'inspection' but appears they re-stacked all the cabinets and fixtures, inside the 'silver object', and secured them with Duct Tape...

Apparently there was some 'modification' needed to the external shape of the 'silver object' to complete the 'inspection', so they reshaped it as best they could, in a 'rectangular' shape, and painted it a Gloss White color, in an attempt to cover up the 'modifications'...

Passers by were heard to comment on the 'nice looking SOB', whatever that is supposed to mean...

Sure hope your new 'baby' makes it home without any more 'modifications' needed - at least till you get your hands on it....

Of course you must wear the hat.

Just tint the window in that good looking burgandy F250 so no one else can see you

Congrats on your new purchase. Hope you have as much fun with it as we have with ours.
I have no idea where Maryville is but... there is a rally in Sevierville Oct 2-4 and we would love to have you join us.

A word of caution - don't sweat the small stuff!

Evidently this baby is about to travel a very long distance to reach it's new home. Brace yourself for the fact that it's bound to be a bit dirty and may have a few bugs plastered on the front from the ride. Don't be disappointed if it doesn't look as good as the photos. With a bath and a little polish it should look as good as it's age and your expectations.

Most of all, get out and have some fun before the weather turns. So glad you have finally found one!
