Thanks everyone for the nice comments.

It is parked it it's own spot.........

It is very nice.

However......I am having some funny thoughts that I did not realize I would have.

I am not in it much yet, it is hooked up and everything seems to work perfectly.

But as I said I am having a sort of "buyers remorse" I guess you could call it.

I am just sort of shocked you might say.........now what do I do ?

I have been looking out the door of my house at it and it looks like a big airplane in my driveway.........

Congratulations on your coach finding it's new home there in "Murrv'll." You received some good advice about spending a few nights in it at home to really check out the systems....and determine what you need to be comfortable. Take it slow.....you can't learn everything overnight, and this forum will be one of your best tools. I would advise not towing it to Elkmont, or over 321 (Wears Valley Rd) until you become familiar with how it handles. Buyer's remorse......well, these things are a bit expensive (there's a reason). But, from the looks of the pics you got a nice coach at a decent price......just think how much more remorseful one can be paying the price of a "new" one (done it twice in two years). Best of luck with your new adventures. Check out the Airstream Park near Crossville.....a close destination where you can meet other Airstreamers.

I should explain a bit. We love it !

I just had a bit of shock for a couple days after no sleep for weeks and many delays, deals gone bad etc.

So when the camper finally made it home it was a shock to me.

I felt a bit guilty about spending the $ and was not ready for the size of the coach after using my small 27ft. Mallard camper.

I think to sum it all up I got a little scared about this decision (big to me) but now feel good about it.

I am now getting ready to go campping for a few days and i am certain we will love it.

Thank so much for all the advice and we will hopefully see you at the sunsets..........

Hi Robbie,
Enjoy your first camping trip! Wait until you start giving tours in your driveway...pride of ownership outweighs any sense of buyer's remorse. We give tours regularly and love every minute of it. Wait till you get your first "They still make those things?" You can give yourself a quiet giggle!

I know how you feel. When we first got ours, I didn't like having to give up the back driveway, where it would have to be parked.....and it seemed like it took up so much room, it was so big.... But now, it looks empty if it isn't in there, and of course we love our Argosy! In fact, now there is a patio area and chairs, just like our own little cottage in the woods!

Andy, all is ok. We are busy inspecting it and trying everything out. So far everything seems to work good and it is in excellant condition overall.

We did find out there was a small leak in the bedroom near the floor. I am working as we speak to find out where it is coming from.

It is 10 years old and all in all it looks to be about half that age or less.

I am unhappy about the leak but am trying to stay positive..........

I will keep you posted.

I am pretty new to AS ownership myself. We got a 1979 31' back in March and been working on it since. I would assume 1979-2000, they will be alot different but I'll say, we had a leak in ours, rear near the floor. After reading some of the posts here, I found that the outside where the shell meets the floor, there is a gap behind the trimline rail (right above our "trunk". Yesterday, I was polishing that area and pulled the trimline rail from the back and yup, the floor was right ap against the rail and any water that ran off the front of the trunk went straight into the ends of the wood floor. Might be worth a look... We fixed with a thick bead of Vulkem between the shell base and the trunk aluminum that went under the floor. I also need to put another bead between the trunk top and another layer of aluminum inside the trunk just in case water flows into the trunk along this sheet.

Bowmans, this is interesting. Thanks for telling me. At this point I am unsure where it's coming in but that is a place I'll check.

I am thinking mine may be the halfway shell seam outside with the plastic trim inside but again it's hard to tell.

This is exactly what I worked so hard to not get involved in........I guess it was just going to happen.

"Water leak"? Plumbing, or rain water?
Rain water, you can start with a garden hose, down low. Work your way up until it starts leaking, you would have an idea where to look. It may not leak with just a garden hose. Check the plumbing vents on the roof, the rubber gaskets crack and leak into the strangest places. We had a leak in our trailer, every time it rained my bed would get soaked with rainwater. We ended up moving to the desert to fix it...
