NCAA B-ball vs. NASCAR
Earlier this afternoon I thought this would be an interesting poll but was not aware of any auto races competing with CBS & ESPN. It turns out there was a Nextel Cup race in Las Vegas on Fox.
So who actually watched either NCAA basketball or stock car racing this weekend?

Debut F1 race was on Speed @ 5:30am CST with Alonso/Renault #1 and Schumacher/Ferrari #2. Got in two races today! My NASCAR driver got a top five....finally.

uber'......
had i opt'd for animal care over people.....i would have likely gone to kstate too.
it is one of the easier campuses to find......
"take i-70 west till ya smell it...then go north till ya step in it!"
as for the dogs.....
men's bball has improved greatly there....
when i lived in seattle the womens team drew far more fans....
and were more fun to watch.....
the he-dogs have finally kicked it up a notch....
but they are still just pups compared to those zags in eastern washington...
nascar? isn't that what is driven TO the bball games?
cheers

Love my dawgs, but you are right...the Zags are much more fierce. I would just love one of them to make it to the final four. I know I'm dreaming but if the Seahawks can make it to the Superbowl, anything is possible!

Greetings 2air...
......are you a "flatlander"? Then........you made a big mistake.....cuz takin' care of beasts is always more gratifying than taking care of people......beasts can't tell ya what's wrong!
As to the odor from I-70.......are you sure you didn't step in some poo at that last rest stop in Missury??.....cuz the only thing I smell when I go back is the Tall Grass Prairie. After all....... our s*** doesn't stink!
(Mods be good to me)!

ZoominC6-
I almost cried when I read your response and realized I had missed the race on speed. An F1 fan that acknowledges NASCAR?
Long live Schumacher!

I love the new F1 qualifying format and racing rules this year. This could be an interesting season.

Hey!
It's my thread! Why can't I vote more than once?? It couldn't be a self image issue, could it? Just look at my alma mater's "hunky" gopher mascot below and ask if I'm being any bit self conscious here...
Then again, certain folks in my Texas home state would question my brights at having first started out as a Texas Aggie basketball fan, starting as a Boy Scout usher at football & B-ball games in the early 60's. Carroll Broussard was a large star in my youth, but then I did not realize how miniscule the Southwest Conference figured in national basketball prominence.
I will boost Aggies over T-sips any day - but only to 2nd place in my priorities. Sorry 'horns fans. Go Gophers!!! (... Gophers in the NIT this year ... oh well...) Could the following image qualify for the Village People?

Both!
That's what the remote is for.
My teams didn't make the dance (Minnesota and Cincinnati).

Racecars rule
Nascar for me. Any sport outdoors is better than any sport or even the same sport indoors.

Can't wait to hook up with you two on the old superslab up in VA. Even if it will be a 2Stream caravan, it will certainly be a KODAK moment for us!

hey jordandvm......
i now have a sufficient scab on the bball wound...to bump this thread.....
bill can't beat the 'b' teams...well maybe next year....
i might have chosen vet school......but as i recall it was harder to get accepted....
well things are smelling pretty good in aggieville today......which is now called higginsville.....did ya see the hire? big time....and i'm really glad they'll be some competitions again....he's not jack hartman...but higgs will win...
while higgs (and some of his players) has had some issues......
he's gonna be great for ksu....
just so they keep the players away from the vet school and critters...
see (and this IS true) higgins first wayward player....
back in 95, was arrested for.......are you ready?
striking a horse......yep like the mongo, in blazin' saddles....he hit a horse.
so the wildcats may be adding new trainers/medics for next season
GO WHEAT SHOCKERS!!! coached by a jayhawk.......
