Name that Airstream!

Okay, so I was going through my photo album, and I came across a picture of my Suburban, when the original owners had it. They took the picture at a campground in 1972. I noticed that there was an Airstream in the background. So for all of our A/S connoiseur sleuths.....

Name that Airstream! Year and model.

Looks like a 1971 Sovereign, or Ambassador, and the tow vehicle looks like a 1972 Oldsmobile 98, or Buick Electra.
The pop-up looks like a Starcraft.

I'm certain you are referring to the most visible Airstream and I believe Terry is right about the model and fairly certain he is right on the year although I would have said a '72 or '73. I think there is another Airstream through the Suburban's window and the AC is showing above the 'Burb's roofline. Now naming that Airstream will be a feat. Terry? Wanna give it a go?

Are you sure you're referring to the one visible through the rear window of the Suburban? Compare what you can see of it to the in view Airstream. The shading and highlights look very similar. Take another look. Unless I'm completely blind.

I'm thinking its a 31' rear bath. Could that be a Dodge Monaco up front?

flyfshr -- not a Hijacker!

Yes Brad, it seems like there are two threads in one going here. Brad suggests the ultimate trivia contest -- if the prize is worthy, just what the heck is the 2nd Airstream?

Canoe,

Like I care if you edit my pic....LOL! We're all Airstreamers here. By the way, good catch Brad on noticing that there were two, not just one, Airstreams in the pic. If I remember right, the original owners of my Suburban told me that the rear A/S was a 1971 Sovereign, towed by a Cadillac, but I can't remember what the front one was.....though I do know that the two were traveling together.
