When I felt the bump, earlier this afternoon, I quickly looked into the rear view mirror, but as the road rapidly receded, I could not discern what could have caused it. I had completely forgotten about it as I settled in to review the Airstream forum postings about the latest topics to be concerned and worry about, as I have the weekend ahead of me to dwell upon them.
It was too soon to worry about replacing my axles and a hunt for hidden and pinched electrical wires did not catch my interest. I already knew about my chronic corrosion issue and my dead converter had recently been excised and replaced.
After checking the price of gas, government bail outs and dump station blues, I cautiously wandered off of the portal page, into the darker regions, and decided to take a risk on the Off Topic Forum, and then I came across it... a topic that I had forgotten about for an astounding year now… mudflaps and critters that one might encounter while on the road. I suddenly realized that I’m overdue in checking my flaps.
Without wasting another moment, I rushed back out to the driveway just before sunset, and saw it… it was
déjà vu… and my mind raced back to that bump that I had felt earlier. There it was… another head… rigor mortis had already set in, even the ears were stiff.
