Motion-sound detection cameras for safety

Anyone with ideas on cameras that record motion/sound inside the trailer and send alarms to owner, to protect our Airstreams, please share. While having power to the WiFi puck and camera, and WifI or cellular connection, this can be a good option. A few words of why you think is good, any experience with them and especially a link to where to buy it/them would be helpful. (If there is another threat specifically on this, kindly move this post there)

Nest has a nice camera, but in order to retain and save footage, you must subscribe. And there must be a WIFI connection and 120V or 12V power with a USP connector.

I have one, but don't subscribe. I get alarms on the phone, live visibility and ability to "speak" to the intruder. See Nest.com

Our trailer is on our home lot, but too far away for the wifi signal to reach. There are several brands of remote motion detection cameras you can get that are self contained with long lasting batteries, but require wifi connections. When I had my home alarm system put in, I inquired about having a sensor in the trailer too, but the alarm co didn't think it would work unless I ran a wire out to the trailer. Evidently was too far for their wireless signal to reach (which is different from our internet wifi). Also no convenient way to detach the trailer from the rest of the burglar alarm system when we are away on trips. There are game cameras meant for hunters that would work, since they use a cell signal rather than wireless, but I don't think they would send me a real time alert if someone were breaking in. In short, I'm still looking.

Around my home and garage I have 4 Foscam cameras with sound and motion detection and they have speakers too. To get realtime messages with images you don't need a subscription. To keep history of recordings, it requires a subscriptin to save the clips on the cloud. Foscam are tricky to install and may loose the settings and need to reconnect, etc. Which is a pain. I will look into Nest, I know they are expensive but if the total cost of ownership (camera, subscription, use of the WiFi from the Verizon jetpack on demand, etc.) is reasonable, that may be the way to go. Thanks!
