Model Airstream Franklin Mint

I received a gift of a 1:24 scale model of a 1968 Airstream 30 footer. It is quite detailed with opening doors, full interior, operating tongue jack and operating awning. The thing must weigh 7 pounds. I'm quite delighted with it.

I was wondering if anyone has information on this Franklin Mint model such as year of manufacturer and worth. Antique Roadshow !

Found this review on the net- looks like this review was of the second limited edition in 2007 and went for $295.

Does the Franklin Mint also sell a good weight distribution hitch to go with that trailer ?

When new, that model sold for $ 200.00.

The only not original thing that you can see on it, is the solar gray vent cover. Other than that, it's a real beauty.

Thank you Airstreamers for all the great information. I guess I have a very nice model, but nothing more. Maybe it will appreciate in value in 50 years like the real ones do if in good condition.

Pam, I think I'm the only one in this house with rear end separation, it really drags after a long day on the Airstream project! Probably frame rot.
