Merry Christmas to all and Happy New Year too, from snowy mid-Missouri. Gypsy, the Airstream, is snow covered, but Minni, the Argosy is tucked inside the barn, gutted though she stands. Moose, the GSP, is woofing, chin quivering for greatest effect, just outside the family room window, begging to come indoors. His visiting cousin, Jack the Yellow lab, meanwhile says "Snow,what snow?" The three cats are in various places of hybernation: Pepper, the attitude cat, yowls to come indoors; Rowdy is tucked in his box with heated pad on the back porch, the Sissy the barn cat loves her blanky in the dog crate by the ARgosy. Our 26 hens were disgusted this morning with the snow so, in spite of down coats,they are keeping their bare feet in the indoor pen in the barn. All is fine here on Quiet Pond and we wish as well for all of you out there. Happy Holidays! ~G

Merry Christmas from Jawja. . . they've mentioned the S word in the Atlanta forecast, so the stores are out of bread & milk already....  Hope all have a Merry Christmas and GREAT New Year ! ! ! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to All!
Our Airstream was basking in the glorious California sun today after too many days in the rain!
As I write this I am savoring the smell of rib roast cooking in our home oven for our late Christmas Eve meal.
While it's cooking, we are listening to a beautiful CD of the UC Irvine Madrigal Christmas Dinner that we attended years ago. This production was last performed in 2007. But the music still lives on and triggers wonderful memories of our days of performing in Renaissance Faires.
May we reach out and be supportive of one another in the coming new year!
