Merry Christmas from sunny West Hollywood, CA!

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas today, and all the best in 2011!

We're taking the trailer down to the wild streets of suburban Orange County today, to camp out in front of my cousins' house. Pictures to follow!

Merry Christmas everybody!

Holidays

Happy Holidays to all.
When the weather is bad it is good to have family close, and when it is quiet, it is good to have the forums for entertainment.
Merry Xmas

Merry Christmas

Mine has been pretty quiet - I have a miserable cold and am HIDING my Rudolph nose and sniffles from the world - but I've accomplished a few little tasks around the trailer and have used the forums to plan my next adventure. Staying snug until I feel better and the weather clears then planning to head south and soak up a few days fun.

Enjoyed the Messiah chorus... wouldn't be Christmas without it.

Oh, one little mod? The kitchen drawers are all the same depth - which in the top silverware drawer is a waste of space. In the 25 FB, the drawers are just the width of a narrow silverware tray, so I took some L shaped aluminum 3/4" x 3/4" and cut it to the length of the drawer, then screwed it to the sides, just low enough for the silverware tray to rest on and move easily. Now I can store sharp knives & misc stuff like scrapers & a whisk below it, and get two layers of kitchen stuff in one drawer. Might repeat in the 2nd drawer.

Merry Christmas, everybody! It's 42 degrees and overcast here in the Portland area. Not much snow in the forecast for the next 10 days, but there's always January. I hope to get into the Argosy later this weekend, and do some puttering around. So far, our first camping trip on 2011 is scheduled for April. I'm not sure I can wait that long!

In a couple of hours, we'll head across the street to Sean's sister's house, for a Christmas brunch with family and friends. Hope all of you are enjoying the holiday with those nearest and dearest to you!

Sharon

Merry Christmas from Vidalia, LA

Danielle and I are on our way to New Orleans for the Habitat Rally. We've stopped in Vidalia, LA (across the river from Natchez, MS). We're having pot luck at the campground rather than our usual Chinese dinner (think Chistmas Story - fah, rah, rah, rah, rah!).

Here are some pics of decorations in the trailer.

Gotta get back to the squash casserole.

Squarestream as a Guest house.

Merry Christmas,
It's sure handy to have the Squarestream parked in the yard as a guest house for all the overflow family that came for Christmas.
That Squarestream spray foam insulation sure makes it cozy with the 20 degree nights here in NC during this cold snap. It doesn't use nearly as much LP gas as others I have had with the fiberglass insulation.
Too bad they didn't continue using that in the walls. Makes too much sense I guess.

Also enjoyed the video. Sometimes it is the unexpected that gives the great memories.

Paula: That is a great idea for the kitchen drawer. I did somewhat the same thing in my small storage compartment. You can only pile so much stuff on one level before it becomes a problem to find what you are looking for.

Happy Holidays
Dave

We spent a wonderful Christmas with my daughter and my grandson. New Years is just around the corner and we will bring the trailer home from storage later today. Next stop is Picacho!

2010 Update Snow

Back in post # 11, I posted a pic of the 1962 Flying Cloud in the snow. This year's 28 hour long snow that began on Christmas Day morning, brought us almost 8 inches of snow. The pic shows the difference.
